We are seeking to recruit a passionate and resourceful qualified teacher who will lead in the development of a model academy that will serve the community in the Mara and beyond.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach and educate pupils according to guidelines provided by the Kenya National Examination Council Curriculum Framework under the overall guidance of the Head Teacher;
  • Teach and educate pupils according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual pupils entrusted to your care by the Head Teacher and Board of trustees of BCFK.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all pupils in the class through approved lesson plans;
  • Adopting and working towards the implementation of the school development plan of Mara Girls leadership School;
  • Assigning work, correcting and marking work carried out by the pupils;
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment and behavior of the pupils;
  • Providing or contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to each pupil;
  • Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual pupils, groups and class entrusted to you;
  • Providing guidance and advice to pupils on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers; providing information on sources of more expert advice;
  • Communicating, consulting and co-operating with other members of the school staff & BCFK, including those having posts of special responsibility and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of pupils;

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum must be a P1 qualified teacher
  • Minimum 3 year Experience in KNEC as a Teacher of Science for class 8;
  • A degree or Diploma is an added advantage;
  • Experience working with Upper Primary students Maths/Kiswahili is an added advantage;
  • Experience in mentorship programmes (eg.leadership,guides,school,club,pastoral care) for young girls is an added advantage.
