In Enkenju Enkorien there is a courageous and humble boy by the name Simon Moonka who was not left behind during the outreach programs. The organization had visited the village specifically to reach out to the our pupils of Mara girls leadership school This boy got interested when he saw Basecamp Foundation Kenya staff visiting one of the pupils in the village to provide learning materials and food relief

He approached and said, 'I want that corona thing that you have worn the boy shouted “this boy actually meant that he wanted a facemask to put on and protect himself from Corona virus. He confidently asked questions on why the team was in the village and this gave the Basecamp Foundation team an opportunity to educate and sensitize the young man on what corona was and the need to always put on a mask washing hands regularly and other preventive measures just to avoid getting the virus.Thanks to Basecamp that the boy received a mask and food donations to take home to his family.
